About Our Program

Local Merit Badge Counselors are willing to share their knowledge, skills, and experience with you!

Scouts MUST be accompanied by a unit leader or adult. Lunch is provided for all and participants will receive a patch.

Choose either a full day or two half day sessions.

  • Architecture

    Be Prepared: Read and study Merit Badge booklet.
    Prerequisites are 1a & 1b. Scouts should know and be ready to give responses to 2 a, b, c, and d and number 5.


  • Chess

    Chess [Sold Out]

    Be Prepared: Read and study Merit Badge booklet.


  • Citizenship in the Nation

    Citizenship in the Nation [Sold Out]

    Be Prepared: Read and study Merit Badge booklet.
    Be able to discuss #1, #2.
    Bring: For #6, a speech, for #8 an idea for your letter (or bring current news sources for ideas) wait to write it until MB Day.
    Know your Senator and Representatives names and addresses.


  • Citizenship in the World

    Be Prepared: Read and study Merit Badge booklet.
    Complete requirements 3 and 7


  • Communications

    Communications [Sold Out]

    Be Prepared: Read and study Merit Badge booklet.
    Scouts should be prepared to participate and discuss 1D, 2B, 3, 4, 5 and 9. In order to receive credit for requirement #5, scouts must attend or view a public meeting prior to Merit Badge Day class and discuss as noted. Scouts will have limited time available to write their 5 minute speech during class. Speeches should be written prior to class. We will complete #8 in class.


  • Emergency Preparedness

    Be Prepared: Read and study Merit Badge booklet.
    Complete and bring proof (eg. photos) for 1, 2c, 7b, 8b, and 9. Bring your personal mobilization kit, tools for requirement 4, and dress for the weather.


  • Entrepreneurship

    Be Prepared: Read and study Merit Badge booklet.
    Req. 4, the rest will be done in class


  • First Aid

    First Aid [Sold Out]

    Be Prepared: Read and study Merit Badge booklet. Scouts must have earned at least second class. Do #5a and 5b prior to arrival and bring your work to have it checked off.


  • Radio

    Radio [Sold Out]

    Be Prepared: Read and study Merit Badge booklet.
    Learn more about Amateur/HAM radio and emergency communications.


Morning Half Day Merit Badge Options (Pick one morning and one afternoon.)

  • Family Life

    Be Prepared: Read and study Merit Badge booklet.
    Complete 3, 4, 5, 6b
    ** The requirements for the family and individual projects should be age/safety appropriate, agreed on by the family, and approved by counselor.
    **If youth have done the chore tracking, counselor will sign off. Recommended that the family meeting should be done after because we will talk about how to do the family meeting. If this has been completed, scout should be prepared to speak to what they did with the counselor to ensure it meets the requirements, Please connect to counselor on Scoutbook prior to class if you would prefer to not use a blue card.


  • Genealogy

    Be Prepared: Read and study Merit Badge booklet.
    Complete 2., 4.c (either a copy or photograph of the document) 6., and 7.


  • Indian Lore

    4a. Describe how life would be different for settlers had no indigenous people had met them upon arrival
    5(a or b): Bring completed items and be able to explain to your counselor the ones you've selected and what you learned.
